Welcome to the Banta Elementary School District, where we are proud of our long history in education. The district is one of the oldest districts in the county, having been founded to serve area students in the late 1800’s. Through the years Banta has remained a small K-8 school district focused on meeting the needs of its diverse student population. Today, Banta has one elementary school, one dependent charter school and two independent charter schools (located in the River Islands Development in Lathrop).
Banta Elementary School is located in a rural/industrial area that is just a few miles outside of the Tracy city limits. The BESD district office is currently located adjacent to the Banta Elementary School site. All campuses are well maintained with many modern amenities. The campuses have full wireless capability with high bandwidth speeds, and all students have access to modern technology, and 1:1 devices. Campuses are equipped with modern science labs, ample grounds and parking, a multipurpose room to accommodate lunch and indoor sports and a stage with a large screen projection system. All schools have outstanding teaching and classified staffs, updated content aligned curriculum, strong school cultures and dynamic administrative leadership.
As our district evolves we continue to adapt in order to best prepare our students for the future. We are a growing district with the recent opening of a large housing development within our attendance area and the continued interest in Banta Elementary as a school of choice for families. We are proud of our history and what we have accomplished as a district. At the same time we look forward with excitement to continuing to provide an outstanding and relevant education for our students.
